J&K L-G Manoj Sinha hopes assembly elections in UT are held soon

After EC said that polls in Kashmir would be held “at the earliest”, J&K L-G Manoj Sinha also lent his opinion on the issue, saying that he is hoprful that the elections will be held soon.

Speaking to pressperson after after inaugurating Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at the University of Jammu, he said, "When PM Narendra Modi came to Srinagar on 20 June, he announced that elections would be held soon. A team of the Election Commission visited here and met all the stakeholders. The Election Commission will announce the date of the elections. As the Union Home Minister said in the Parliament on 5 August, delimitation first, then assembly election, then statehood at the appropriate time. Things are going on in that sequence. SEBI did not actively investigate despite repeated orders from the Supreme Court... At the absolute maximum level, it destroys transparency. It is the biggest criminal conspiracy... This report has exposed and destroyed the integrity of the SEBI Chief and Prime Minister Narendra Modi...," said Congress leader Supriya Shrinate said.
