Congress submits privilege notice against Amit Shah for 'misleading' claims on Wayanad landslides
Congress on Friday submitted a breach of privilege notice against Home Minister Amit Shah accusing him of misleading the Rajya Sabha by claiming in the House that the Kerala government did not act on the early warnings issued to it on landslides in Wayanad.
In the letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar, Congress Chief Whip Jairam Ramesh said these claims were “extensively fact-checked” in the media and it is clear that Shah “misled the Rajya Sabha by his emphatic statements which have been proven to be false".

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla slammed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav over Ayodhya gangrape and asked why he was quiet when the accused is reportedly connected to Faizabad MP.
"Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party talk about PDA, but now when a 12-year-old girl from the Nishad community is raped and the accused 65-year-old Moeed Khan, who is part of the core team of Samajwadi Party MP from Faizabad, not only commits rape but also makes a video of it. So today Akhilesh Yadav is forgetting PDA and giving clean chit to Moeed Khan."

On Sachin Waze's allegations against him, NCP-SCP leader Jayant Patil said, "The person who made the first allegation has been in jail for 1.5 years, there are serious allegations against him. I don't think the court and the justice system will trust him. I don't know what he has written in the letter. How did he suddenly feel like writing the letter?"

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah urges NHAI to not cut roads at 90 degrees as it potentially triggers landslides
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah visited landslide-hit Hassan district on Saturday. Talking to the reporters, he said, "...Hassan received 65% more rainfall, Sakleshpur received 12% more and Shirdi Ghat also received more rainfall, so the landslides increased. I suggested NHAI to acquire more land and not cut the road at 90 degrees. I will ask the Chief Secretary to write a letter and I will also meet Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and talk to him..."

Wayanad presented great example of centre-state coordination: Kerala Governor
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that lanslide-hit Wayanad presented a very brilliant example of the coordination between the central government and the state government.
"This is an hour of crisis, hour of tragedy. All our focus is on rescue and relief. So far all the bodies have not been recovered. So rescue work is in operation," he added.
