As India assumed the yearlong Presidency of G20 on December 01, 100 centrally-protected monuments including UNESCO world heritage sites were specially illuminated with the G-20 logo.
Safdarjung’s Tomb, Red Fort, and Purana Quila in New Delhi to Modhera Sun Temple in Gujarat, and Konark Sun Temple in Odisha to Sher Shah Suri’s Tomb in Bihar, Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh to Shankaracharya Temple in Srinagar are in the list of these 100 sites.
These monuments will be illuminated for seven days from December 01 to December 07. During this year’s presidency, India will host 200 meetings across the nation in over 50 cities and in 32 different sectors.
