"Why did they set me on fire? They could have thrashed me, if they wanted to take out their grudge on me." These were the last lines of the journalist who was burnt to death for his Facebook posts against SP MLA Ram Murti Verma.
Whining in pain, the Shahjahanpur-based journalist Jagendra Singh, got his final statement recorded in front of the magistrate before succumbing to the burn injuries.
In the video, Jagendra Singh stated that a team of policemen headed by inspector Sri Prakash Rai forcefully entered his house, poured kerosene on him and set him ablaze.
