The injured are Parashiva, Sabitha, Ashwini, Ramya from Kundapur, Hattiyangadi Rajendra, Nagaraj, Kota Sumangala, Parameshwar, Pavithra, Mukta from Bagalkot and Seetha from Saligrama.
The accident occurred at 9.45 am which affected traffic on the highway for some time. Police said the mishap occurred when the speeding bus was trying to overtake another vehicle. The tempo driver has been seriously injured.
Father poisons son
In a bizzare incident reported from Sullia police station limits, one Narayan Bhat of Boliyamoole in Bellare village killed his son Krishna Prasad by giving him poison and later committed suicide. According to police, family problem is the reason for the act.
Judicial custody
Sheenappa Gowda and Keshava Gowda, who were arrested in connection with the murder of Babu Mogera of Belalu, were produced before court on Thursday. The arrested have been remanded judicial custody.
Man dies
Yashodhara Gowda (28), a resident of Navur village in Belthangady died following an accident on Thursday.
Belthangady police said the person was coming from Indabettu to Belthangady riding a bike when the accident occurred. The victim died when he was being taken to hospital.
