5 give up worldly life, take up ‘Kshullak Deeksha’

Five persons were initiated to ‘Kshullak Deeksha’ by Acharya Sri 108 Vardhamana Sagarji Munimaharaja, Acharya Sri 108 Pushpadanta Sagara Muni Maharaja, Jain munis and mathajis, at Amrithavarshini Sabha Bhavana in Dharmasthala on Sunday. With this, they began their process to abandon worldly pleasures.

Sathish Bayyaji of Madhya Pradesh, Pooran Bayyaji of Hyderabad, Sri Prabhu Bayyaji, Samyama and Savitha of Uttar Pradesh were initiated to ‘Kshullak Deeksha.’

After offering special pooja at Chandranath Swamy Basadi, all the five were taken in a procession to the venue.

All the five were accordingly dressed up for the rituals related to Deeksha. When the Jain monks sought to know from Diksharthis why are they attaining Deeksha, all of them said they were accepting ‘Deeksha’ for attaining ‘Moksha’ and ‘Atma Kalyana’ in life.

Later, all the Diksharthis removed the valuables they had worn. ‘Kesha Lochana’ (plucking the hair) ritual was carried out. Samyama and Savitha were given white saree to wear.

Members of Jain Muni Sangha initiated ‘Kshullak Deeksha’ by reciting ‘Pancha Namaskara Mantra’ and ‘Shlokas.’ All the five were given ‘Pinchi,’ ‘Kamandala’ and ‘Shastra’ books.

Sathish Bayyaji was renamed as Paramasagar Maharaj, Pooran Bayyaji as Paramathma Sagar, Sriprabhu Bayyaji as Prabhakar Sagar Maharaj, Samyama as Amarajyothi Mathaji and Savitha as Amrita Jyothi Mathaji.

108 Vardhamana Sagarji Munimaharaja said, “Deeksha helps in attaining Moksha.”

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, Hemavathi Heggade and others were present.

As a part of Mahamastakabhisheka of Bahubali, the rituals like ‘Vastupooja,’ ‘Navagraha Mahashanthi,’ ‘Dikpalaka Bali,’ ‘Yakshha Prathishte,’ ‘Padabhisheka’ of Bahubali with 54 kalasha, ‘Peeta Yantraradharane,’ ‘Bheritadana,’ ‘Dhwaja Pooja,’ ‘Balividhana’ and Mahamangalarathi were held at Yajna Shaale atop Rathnagiri on Sunday. A laser show on the life of Bharatha- Bahubali was held in the evening at Rathnagiri in the background of Bahubali statue.
