According to District Surveillance Officer for Epidemic Diseases Dr A V Narayanaswamy, the doctors team has visited the places and have controlled the diseases within two days of its outbreak.

He said that necessary measures have been taken to check the outbreak of epidemic during rainy season. The Rural Health and Sanitation Committees are directed to taken preventive measures. Junior Women Health Assistants will check the water sources once in every two weeks in the villages. They will collect water samples and after testing it they  will submit the report to the panchayats.

The officer also said that the health assistants will visit all the houses in the villages and create awareness about maintaining sanitation. He has asked the people to take up preventive measures and co-operate with the department to check the epidemic.
