Corruption-free India, a Sankalp Yathra’ programme was organised by the ABVP at Nandi theatre in Government Junior College premises. The ABVP members were seen forcing the students to attend the programme.

They had closed all the three gates around the Nandi theatre, so no one gets out of the college premises. The students who were coming out after the classes were stopped by them and were made to sit inside.

They did not heed to the students who requested them that they want to go home as they had not informed and were scared that they will be taken to task at home. But the ABVP members just did not open the gates and ordered them to sit inside.

“We are hungry. They have made us stand in the scorching sun. We are not able to understand even a single word of the speech” the students alleged.

“I had just come to the Public Education Department on some work. I have finished the work but these ABVP members are not allowing us to go outside. When we tried to go out they threatened us” fumed a person.

Circle Inspector Mahesh Kumar then visited the place and directed them to open the gates. He also told the ABVP members that serious action will be taken against them for forcing the students to attend the meeting.
