The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Wednesday raided the premises of Chikkaballapur Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer K P Sanjeevappa in Bengaluru and CB’Pur, following the complaints that he had amassed assets disproportionate to his legitimate sources of income.
A senior police official said that searches were conducted at a house belonging to Sanjeevappa in BTM Layout, official quarters and the office at Chikkaballapur. The search revealed that the official possessed a three-storey building at BTM Layout, another three-storey building and a site at Viratnagar in Begur, a house at Gottigere in Bengaluru. This apart, the official owns one acre and 18 guntas of land at Denkanikottai in Tamil Nadu and 17 guntas of land at Arehalli in Attibeli hobli. The officials also found that Sanjeevappa has a bank balance of Rs 12.48 lakh, and Rs 13.57 lakh worth household items.
