Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said that the MUDA site allotment case is not a black mark until it is proved in the Court. "It is just an allegation. We will answer about those allegations to the Lokayukta police during their investigation, and to the Court," he said lashing out at BJP leaders' statements about the enquiry.

He was speaking to media persons after the Lokayukta Police enquiry, near the Government guest house in Mysuru on Wednesday.

Siddaramaiah said, "It is a false case. Lokayukta police have enquired. I have told the truth. I have answered all the questions. They have read out my statements which they recorded. They have not asked me to come for enquiry again. Lokayukta will continue the enquiry in the case," he said.

When asked if he submitted any documents to Lokayukta, he said, "Why will I have documents when I have no role in it?" he questioned.

In context of the legality of the site allotment, the CM said: "It has happened as per law. BJP and JD(S) leaders have made false allegations. Since there was false allegation, my wife decided to return them," he said.

When asked what he felt about the first such enquiry he had to face in his career and how would he face it, CM Siddaramaiah said, "When there are false allegations, we have to face such cases. Our lawyers will handle it," he said.

Regarding 'Go back Siddaramaiah' protest by BJP leaders in Mysuru he asked, "are they against investigation? It clearly indicates that it is a false case and they have made false allegation," he said.

On RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna and BJP urging for CBI enquiry, he said, "As per RTI activist's application, Governor has directed for Lokayukta enquiry. Under whose control is CBI? Who formed Lokayukta? It is an independent agency. If they have no trust in Lokayukta, has BJP ever given any case to CBI? It means that they do not have respect for law," he said.

When asked about the RTI activist's appeal to the High Court to hand over the case to CBI, he said, "We will fight it in High Court," CM Siddaramaiah said.
