Bengaluru: The state government has started efforts to revive tourist destinations by including Lakkundi and the areas ruled by the Deccan Sultans in the list of World Heritage Sites.

In the first phase, the government will start the archaeological collection campaign from Lakkundi, where the public can give the archeological-heritage remains they have, on November 24. “We will preserve them,” said Tourism Minister H K Patil.
