Congress MLA Anand Singh’s wife Lakshmi Singh has said that she will initiate legal action against Kampli MLA J N Ganesh, if at all he has attacked her husband.
Speaking to a television channel, Lakshmi, who is in Mumbai, said that she was in the dark about her husband’s health as she had not been able to speak to him yet.
“I am at the Mumbai airport with my son and daughter, waiting for my flight to Bengaluru. I’m completely in the dark. After reading media reports, I have been continuously calling my husband. But he hasn’t answered. I am worried and tense. I am actually going out of my mind, not knowing what has happened. When my son called D K Shivakumar, the minister said that there was nothing wrong. Everybody is just telling us that he is fine. But I have seen in media that Ganesh has attacked my husband. If he attacked my husband, I will not spare him - I will not keep quiet. I will certainly initiate legal action against him. Our loyalty to the party is secondary,” she said.

Lakshmi, who was in Mumbai to attend a wedding reception, said that though Singh was supposed to attend the wedding along with her, he couldn’t do so as he was taken to the resort in Bidadi by the Congress.
Lakshmi also confirmed that all was not well between her husband and the other Ballari MLAs, who were planning to defect to the BJP.
Singh is said to have had an ugly spat with Hagaribommanahalli MLA Bheema Naik during the previous Congress Legislature Party meeting held at Bengaluru.
“My husband doesn’t discuss much with me. But he had told me that he did have an argument with Bheema Naik during the last CLP meeting. Other than that I don’t know much. They are all good friends,” she added.
While Singh’s parents Prithvi Raj Singh and Sumati Bai arrived at the hospital by evening, Lakshmi and her children could make it at the hospital only by around 9 pm.
