Pointing out 16 auto tippers that are gathering rust in the premises of the Reservoir at Yadavgiri, Lakshmana said that officials had earlier kept these autorickshaws at sewage farm in Vidyaranyapuram.
Later, when ACICM pointed out the lacuna, the autorickshaws were shifted to all the zonal offices. He also said that five dumper placers, two compactors, four containers and other items purchased under JnNURM are also lying unused.
Wasting tax payers money
While mentioning that MCC was wasting tax payers money, Lakshmana said that considering the pace at which work was being undertaken it was impossible to make use of ` 1,400 crore within the next one-and-half years.
Furthermore, he showed auto-tippers that had been filled with water due to the rains that had lashed the city recently.

MP H Vishwanath, who visited the spot, said that each of the auto tippers purchased at a cost of ` four lakh each are now dumped.
He said that even corporators might not know that such a thing has been happening here.
Yadavgiri Reservoir
Speaking about the part of the roof that collapsed at the Reservoir at Yadavgiri, Vishwanath said that if the reservoir broke down then half the houses in the area would
be damaged. Also, water supply would be impossible unless alternate arrangements were made, he added. He said that he would urge the District In-Charge Minister to take strict action against erring officials.
Reservoir visit
A look at the Reservoir at Yadavgiri and you would think twice about using the water arriving in your taps. When Deccan Herald visited the spot, workers were clearing the debris of the collapsed portion of the roof. However, what was further alarming was the dirty water, which was supposed to have been chlorinated.
Replying to a query through the telephone, Assistant Executive Engineer Nataraja said that the reservoir is cleaned atleast once in a year to remove the waste that has gathered. However, he failed to answer as to when the reservoir was cleaned last.
