Take for instance making the appropriate changes with regard to change of office of the senior officials.  The BBMP website continues to carry the name of Sri Ram Reddy as the Additional Commissioner of Bangalore (West). However, BBMP repatriated  V Sri Ram Reddy, the former Additional Commissioner of Bangalore (West) who held that post till May 2009.

He was later posted as the Addl. Commissioner (Administration) and also given the charge of Elections Department. Last week he was sent back to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on reason of his services not being required by the Palike.

This apart, the new Additional Commissioner for the West Zone who replaced Reddy three months ago, V P Ikkeri still holds the position of Council Secretary in the Palike.
The BBMP further has filled up the post of the Special Commissioner by employing Maheshwara Rao, former Deputy Commissioner (DC) for Mandya. This too is missing from the directory of the Palike website and still shows M S Shrikhar as  holding the post of Special Commissioner.

No transparency

Also the BBMP has still been carrying the old list of ongoing works on its website without updating the recently declared Rs 22,000 crore worth mega projects for the City. Some of the projects have been completed as early as 2006-07 and are still under the list of on-going projects in the Palike limits.

With the impending elections for the BBMP, the Palike is yet to update their website with the new list of wards. The map provided on the website still shows the old 100 wards of BMP.

The BBMP has gone through two delimitation processes after the expansion of the corporation limits to 800 sq km from 227 sq km.

With the BBMP busy trying to set their internal infrastructure in order, it seems to have forgotten the real people who need to know about the Palike functionaries and their functions, the citizens.
