Two men, who killed an Ola driver for not sharing alcohol with them, were arrested.
Nandini Layout police cracked the murder case of Kpini Gowda alias Kumar (34), an Ola driver, who was found dead in his cab on May 17 and arrested his friends Mallikarjuna and Mahalinga.
A senior police officer said that the accused murdered Kumar on May 17 and placed his body in his car and fled from the spot. Since he was sleeping inside the car after locking the doors and raising the windshields, the police assumed he died due to suffocation and registered a case of unnatural death, said DCP (North) Chethan Singh Rathore.
He added that the postmortem report however revealed that he was murdered. Police registered a case on July 3 and investigations revealed role of the two in the murder.
The accused confessed that they killed Kumar for not sharing alcohol with them.
