Three members of a family from Bengaluru died instantly after their speeding car crashed into a truck near Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday morning.

Kamala, 78, her son Anil, 52, and grandson Adithya, 19, were going to Ballari for the treatment of the elderly woman who was suffering from asthma. The family left their home in JP Nagar 2nd Phase around 6 am but met with the accident around 8.30 am, said Naveen Kumar, a relative. The car crashed into a truck bearing a Tamil Nadu registration number. The family accused the police of sparing the truck driver and said Anil was booked for reckless driving.

"We were all shocked to hear that all the three died on the spot. Police didn't file a case against the truck driver but instead booked Anil," Kumar said.
