As many as 45 Bangaloreans who have contributed to the development of society will be conferred Kempegowda award for the year 2011-2012.
The award, which includes citation and purse of Rs 25,000, will be presented at a function on April 6. The awardees are:
Social work: M K Ramappa, K T Chandru, M Kashi, C S Radhakrishna, B M Ramaiah, H Kondanda Ramaiah, Master Nataraj and P K Pal.
Sports: Raghu, wrestler Mohammed Fayaz Ahmed, A V Srinivas Gowda, Poorvitha S Ram, Ramachandra Rao Sudhakar, Dhanalakshmi SP, Prof M J Sundar Ram, N Vajrappa, and Master Nikhil.
