Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous recently held their orientation programme for the golden jubilee batch. The event was held to welcome and inform the freshers about the infrastructure, academic and cultural details they would need for coming three years in JNC.

The event was presided over by Principal Dr Sr Elizabeth and began with a prayer. She also felicitated the highest scoring students of the newly admitted batch. This was followed by performances of the cultural teams of the college.

The annual college magazine was released. The Department of English released the revised edition of text books for the new academic year.

Dr Sr Elizabeth delivered her inspiring speech, while the faculty explained the rules and regulations of the college. The second-year students put up a skit enacting a regular day on the campus of Jyoti Nivas College. Colonel MK Chandrashekaran shared his experience as a proud parent of a student who is recent graduate from Jyoti Nivas College.

“The orientation gave me a clear picture of the various activities and rules of my college. I have already pictured my involvement with the college” says Rachel, a first-year student.
