The music launch of the Kannada movie Crazy Kutumba was held recently in a city hotel in the presence of the cast and crew of the film. The team described the movie as a ‘rollicking family entertainer’.
Ramesh Aravind, the lead actor said, “The content of the story compelled me to accept this project. In the movie, I play the character of a mechanic who fails his sixth grade but aspires to achieve success through his talent. His daughter also wishes to become a great dancer and the duo succeed in making their dreams come true through a reality show."
Actress Sanaa plays the role of Ramesh's wife and says that her theatrical background helped her to put extra energy into her character.
“Crazy Kutumba is a great family entertainer and effectively follows the journey of a family from a small village to the platform of a reality show,” said Ravi Joshi, the producer.
The movie also has some inspiring and touching poems by eminent Kannada poets. “Composing the music was indeed a challenge. It was very important for me to strike a balance between creativity and originality without losing the essence of the beautiful lyrics. I am pleased with the result but am always open to constructive criticism,” said Ricky Kej, the music director.
Crazy Kutumba deals with the journey of a dysfunctional family who want to participate in a reality show and travel from Belgaum to Bangalore.
An angry-old drunkard, an aspiring inventor, a fitness freak, a devoted wife, a young dancer and a kleptomaniac, all from the same family fight, scream, laugh, tease, sing, dance their way to the big city in the hope of making their dreams come true.
With every new obstacle they encounter, the family becomes stronger and realises the potential of their unity.
Crazy Kutumba is the first venture of Luvkush Productions owned by Ravi Joshi and wife Leena Joshi.
The cast of the film also includes Rajanikanth, Chindodi Vijay Kumar, Harish and Bank Janardhan who were present at the launch sharing their experiences with the gathering. Ananth Nag and the director B Rama Murthy were however absent. The movie releases on February 12.
