For those who like digging into food that comes in a jiffy yet satiates the taste buds, ‘Slice of Heaven’ in Ulsoor, would be a perfect place to stop by.

The eatery, which aims to cater to gastronomic needs from breakfast till dinner, has something to offer for anyone on the go.

From finger food to salads to even burgers, the eatery has a lot of tasty bites to indulge in. “We have been around for two years and we see a mixed crowd. I am a foodie myself, which is what triggered the idea of the place,” says Vivek Mata, owner of the restaurant.
He says that the aim to provide some never-before-seen items to Bengalureans is what got him to start the eatery.

“In my bistro-cum- cafe, we have something called the ‘Black Pepper Cheesecake’, which I have not heard of or found anywhere in the country,” Vivek elaborates. Open through the day, the cafe offers cakes to light eats to proper meals, so that one has an array of options to choose from.

Some of the highlights of the eatery include their ‘Flakes crusted prawns’, ‘Spicy garlic chicken’, ‘Chicken cordon blue’, ‘Spaghetti bolognese’, ‘Greek salad’ and ‘Alio-e-olio’.

“We have a live bakery too, where one can order a cake and wait for it to be made as they sip on a cup of coffee. It’s fresh, baked in one’s presence and can be customised accordingly,” he says. As for the ingredients, Vivek says that they only use Italian olive oil and fresh ingredients like mozzarella cheese and burrata cheese. If one wants to stop by for a quick lunch or snack, there’s the salads, pastas, spaghetti and burgers.

“Though our burger options are limited, most of our customers love them as the non-vegetarian ones are entirely meat. Also, we do not clobber it up with mayonnaise, which makes it messy to eat. We also do not outsource the buns; we bake our own,” he says.

‘Mushroom ragu with herb rice’ is said to be a hit among vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. So, what is the target crowd? “We see youngsters who hang out with friends over a cup of coffee and shorteats to senior citizens who relax and stay on for a meal,” he says.

The eatery is located at Splendid Skywalk, Second Floor, Assaye Road, Ulsoor.  It is open between 10 am and 11 pm.
