Students of ISBR eagerly took part in a case study competition held by the case study club of the institute recently.
Right from analysing management cases to everyday situations which take place in an office, it was a chance for the students to sharpen their analytical
abilities. There were several rounds to the competition. Although gruelling, the students felt it was a platform to learn as well as interact with their batchmates.
Sweta Tripathi, a first-year PGDM student whose team won the first prize, said that they enjoyed putting their creative streak to use.
“We were given a movie which did not fare well at the box-office and were expected to change the storyline to have a better appeal. For instance, our team was given the movie Aiyyaa which had Rani Mukherjee in the lead. We were instructed to change the storyline and enact it. We really had a good time working on it as a team,” she said.
Subrat Padhi, and his team that was declared the first runners-up, said, “Since
I’d seen similar competitions at other colleges, I knew what to expect. But being a first-time participant, it was a new experience. It was both challenging as well as fun.”
For many like Shreyas Somayagi, a first-year PGDM student whose team bagged the second runners-up prize, said that the competition was a chance to get to know the seniors better.
“We were chosen by a wild-card entry. The competition was really thought-provoking. But more than the competition, I feel that it was a platform to interact with our seniors,” said Shreyas.
