A 23-year-old Assamese man was arrested for bludgeoning two security guards to death inside their shed at an under-construction building in Hulimavu on September 25.
The Hulimavu police arrested Ajith Brama, accused of killing Vikram Kumar (25) and Saidulla Khan (26), both from Assam. The police said all three along with 20 other security guards were working in a huge under-construction site in Doddakammanahalli on the city outskirts.
Investigations revealed that Brama had joined duty on September 25 and on the same night he told the deceased that he did not like the job. He had also told them that he would quit and return to his native the next morning.
It is said that Kumar and Khan advised him against quitting the job. A quarrel started when they told him that his attitude would never help him grow in life. All three abused each other. That night, Kumar and Khan assaulted Brama and told him he cannot leave the job till they say he could.
Later, when both of them fell asleep, an injured Brama took an iron rod and bludgeoned them to death. The incident came to light when the other labourers arrived to work the following morning.
Though Brama was missing after the murder, the police traced his mobile number and nabbed him from his friends' place in JP Nagar.
