The BBMP and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board have jointly set up mobile tanks at 282 places where the residents stay far from the lakes.

The BBMP will deploy 10 boys at each place of immersion to help people immerse idols. These boys will be standing on the small island created for the immersion purpose, a BBMP press release said.

In order to maintain the cleanliness of the lake, the BBMP commissioner has directed to remove flowers and other pooja materials on the idol before immersion.
