Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to launch a test run of the faceless, contactless and online BBMP eKhata issuance system from October 1.
As part of the process, the BBMP has generated draft eKhata of the properties and uploaded them on www.bbmpeAasthi.karnataka.gov. in.
The civic body has urged the citizens to download the eKhata and provide other details online to generate the final eKhata. The other documents the citizens are expected to furnish include Aadhaar eKYC, GPS coordinates of the property, photo of the property, registered property deed, EC of property from April 2004, and Bescom meter number.
Property owners who do not possess the said documents can visit the jurisdictional revenue office for help, the BBMP said in a statement. The civic body also added that training videos on the same have been published for the property owners.
However, the BBMP has also warned citizens that there might be a few technical glitches during the process since it is a test run.
“Due to the massive nature of the roll-out, this is a test launch and learnings in this will be duly incorporated. Kindly cooperate to enable the BBMP to serve you,” the statement said.
