Bengaluru: In the wake of the Babusapalya tragedy caused by the collapse of a six-storey building, the BBMP will begin a survey of all under-construction buildings starting Monday, with assistance from private entities.
"Any building being constructed without the necessary authorisations will be halted. Surveying teams will document these buildings using photographs and videos, and the entire process will be monitored via drones," announced Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
In addition, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority has been tasked with surveying and stopping all unauthorised constructions in Bengaluru Rural and Ramanagara districts.
