The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials have issued notice to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) corporator's son. The notice is reportedly served to Yashas K, a resident of Rajajinagar. He is the son of S Keshavamurthy, corporator of ward number 68, Mahalakshmipuram.
According to NCB officials, a team from Mumbai and Bengaluru had searched the corporator's house recently. Yashas has been absconding since then, so they have served notice to him.
He has been asked to appear before the NCB officials in their Mumbai office within September 7. According to officials Yashas has switched off his phone from September 2, the day they served the notice.
The NCB officials have served notice to Yashas after the drug peddler Rehman who was arrested in Mumbai has revealed his name. The officials have also got the documents of the online transaction between Rehman and Yashas. These transactions were made to purchase the narcotics drugs from Rehman, according to NCB officers.
When DH tried to contact the corporator Keshavamurthy on his mobile phone number displayed in BBMP's official website, it was switched off.

The intelligence officer of NCB, of Bengaluru Zonal Unit, states that he needs to appear for interrogation in a case registered by the on August 31, under the provisions of NDPS Act. It is revealed that there are reasonable grounds to question Yashas to ascertain the facts and circumstances in relation to the present investigation. If Yashas fails to appear before the officials he will be liable for action under the law.
