The event brought together the cast and crew of Pancharangi once again. The team, which recently completed 25 days shooting in coastal areas, was beaming with joy and each unit member was eager to share his or her experiences. Sunder Raj, a senior artiste, recalled the memorable time he spent with the Pancharangi team.
“It was awesome. I have been dying to work with Yograj Bhat like many other young actors. To my surprise, Pancharangi offered me a substantial role. I feel younger after the shooting as I had lot of fun with my fellow artistes,” he said. One of the star attractions of the event, Diganth said, “My role in this film is different from what I have done in my earlier films. I am very happy being a part of this project. I am enjoying my role.”
Nidhi Subbaiah, who was dressed in a simple costume, was all smiles. “My role is that of a bubbly girl called Ambika, which is so close to the real me. Working with Yograj Bhat is a different experience altogether. In this short duration, I learnt a lot as an actress,” she gushed.
The captain of the ship, Yograj Bhat, is carrying quite an overload this time as the movie has about 25 characters. He justifies the big cast. “I have shifted my focus a little, from the customary subject of love to a wholesome family drama. As the name suggests, there is ample emotion and passion in the movie.
I tried my best to portray the characters as realistic as possible. When the audience come to the theatre, every one of them will relate to one or the other character,” says Yograj. As usual, the cast includes Yograj’s favourite Anant Nag, Padmaja Rao, Sudha Belavadi, Nagendra Shah, Sunder Raj, Mitra, Raju Talikote.
Jayanth Kaykini will pen two songs and Yogaraj himself will take care of the other songs. Mano Murthy is the music director. Thyagaraj, who worked with Ratnavelu for many films, is the man behind the camera.
