The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths arrested three people, including two foreign nationals and a software engineer, for selling cocaine and other banned drugs at pubs.
The police recovered Rs 1.5 crore worth cocaine, 1,850 ecstasy pills, a car and a two-wheeler from them.
The suspects are Faith Chuks (34), a South African national, Kante Henry (24), an East African national, both residents of Kacharakanahalli in the city, and Pratheek Shetty (29), a techie from New Thippasandra, said city police commissioner T Suneel Kumar.
Chuks and Henry landed in the city two years ago under student's visa and joined Indo-Asian Academy to do MBA. Soon, they got into drug racket. Shetty, a drug peddler, would help the duo in the distribution process, he added.
The suspects have been booked under provisions of The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The suspects supplied the banned substances at pubs in Indiranagar and private parties and target techies, employees, businessmen, college students.
Alok Kumar Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) said the police have identified 40 customers.
"There are over 200 customers aged between 31 and 35 years using drugs. The police have called their parents and guardians to police commissioner’s office on November 14. The police are conducting awareness drives against drug abuse.
