A cyclonic circulation observed on Monday over the southwest Bay of Bengal is expected to develop into a low-pressure area, which will likely move westward toward the Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka coasts over the next two days.

CS Patil, Scientist 'E' at IMD Bengaluru, stated that isolated light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, and Ramanagara districts on Tuesday, followed by fairly widespread rain across South Interior Karnataka over the next five days.

"Daytime temperatures may drop by two to three degrees Celsius over the next two to three days," Patil noted.

On Monday, daytime temperatures in Bengaluru ranged from 27 to 28 degrees Celsius.

While light rain is expected in parts of North Interior Karnataka, most areas there will remain dry. Bengaluru is forecast to have cloudy skies with misty mornings, he added.
