Speaking at the inaugurtion of two cycle parking stands in Lalbagh garden, S Suresh Kumar, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs said that he will take up the matter of holding the ‘Cycle Day’ with the Government.
The two stands have been built by Ride a Cycle Foundation (RACF), with the financial support of Bharath Cements. Each stand has space for ten cycles at both gates of Lalbagh. Murali H, member of RACF said that the entire cost came to Rs 60, 000.  “This is the second cycle stand in the City after the one at Koshy’s. With the help of such companies and BBMP, our plan is to set up such stands at 50 more spots across Bangalore.
The next location would be Cubbon Park and with the probability of Cycle Day, cycling enthusiasts are hoping that soon,” he added. The event saw more than 150 cyclists from all over the city assemble at Lalbagh. The Minister along with all the other cyclists went around the garden covering a distance of around six km.
