Referring to allegations against Mico Layout police inspector C N Janardhan Rao, Bidari said such misdeeds were not acceptable and would be dealt with seriously.
The inspector had allegedly received two kg of gold and Rs 10 lakh as bribe from those involved in the Muthoot Finance heist to let them go scot-free. The bribery came to light when the crime branch police arrested the suspects in a theft case. Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar is conducting an inquiry into the allegations and action would be initiated against the inspector on the basis of his report.
