Bengaluru: The 21st edition of the Bhumika Club, presented by Freedom Healthy Cooking Oil and focused on the upcoming festive season, was held at the RV Teachers College Auditorium in Jayanagar on Saturday. The event, organised by Deccan Herald and Prajavani, drew women from across the city.
Designed to foster connections and broaden knowledge on topics like health and fashion, the event opened to a full house and was hosted by RJ Nikitha. The evening was a lively mix of entertainment and information.
Kannada actors Sakshi Meghana and Sukrutha Wagle inaugurated the meet, sharing insights from their professional lives.
“Self love and inner strength are key to success,” said Sakshi, encouraging the audience to pick up the practice of meditation.
Sukrutha Wagle dove into her journey as an actor. “Destiny led me to acting, and self-confidence has been my guiding light,” she said.
The musical highlight of the night was a performance by Beat Gurus, who engaged the audience with a dynamic ‘jambe’ and drum show, accompanied by an energetic drum circle. This was followed by a saree-draping and makeover workshop led by Ashwini Shenoy, who demonstrated the box pleating technique among other styles.
The event concluded with a cooking session by chef and food influencer Pooja Patil, who demonstrated how to make dahi tadka, a wholesome lunch side dish. The session included a Q&A, allowing for audience interaction.
Throughout the event, Nikitha facilitated interactive sessions and games, offering the audience chances to win surprise gifts.
