Bengaluru: A large pile of garbage near M Rama Rao Road-SJP Road was cleared by the BBMP on Monday.

On Sunday, DH reported on the waste left uncleared in areas around K R Market, which had led to complaints from local shopkeepers about the inconvenience caused. A BBMP official had assured that the remaining waste would be cleared by Monday.

The BBMP stated that Bengaluru typically generates around 4,900 metric tonnes of waste daily. However, due to the festival season, they collected 6,306 MT on Saturday, 5,561 MT on Sunday, and approximately 5,866 MT on Monday.
