The annual Deccan Herald in Education competitions concluded on a grand note on Friday at Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park with the final event 'Group Dance competition'. Conducted at two levels- Juniors and Seniors, it was held for Zone A schools on Thursday and for Zone B schools on Friday.
The participants showcased their talent in different dance forms ranging from classical, semi-classical to freestyle and robotics. Several performances even addressed the pressing issues of today's world such as women empowerment, Smoking and use of plastic.
The competitions were judged by Vydhurya Sree, choreographer, dancer and the founder of ASV Dancing Stars Institute.
"In a group dance, it is important that every member dances and with proper coordination," Vydhurya said while addressing the audience.
"While judging a dance competition, apart from choreography other aspects like song, costume, make-up, energy and expression also matters," she said.
The highlight of the last day was the beautiful performance by the judge herself.
