The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Dialysis Centre, Rajajinagar which was set up under MLA Local Area Development Funds provided by local legislator and former minister S Suresh Kumar, on Monday crossed 10,000 dialysis procedures.
The facility, maintained by Rotary Peenya on a public private Partnership model does dialysis free of cost for BPL card holders and for a nominal charge of Rs 500 for other poor patients.
Minister for Health and Family Welfare, U T Khader who visited the centre said following the KIMS hospital incident, the government has taken a call to form a committee that will look into the functioning of all NICUs, both in private and public hospitals.
“The reason for death of the four neonates at KIMS is not yet known," he added.
