Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore urged the students of the Indian Institute of Management to achieve greater goals and not stop after achieving success.
“Life is such that it is important to keep pursuing your goals and proving yourself. Once you do that, people ask you to do it again and you need to keep achieving greater heights,” said Rathore during the graduation ceremony at the institute here on Thursday.
The ceremony was held for the students of the postgraduate and the fellow-graduate programmes for the 2018 batch.
Rathore, who handles the sports and information and broadcasting portfolios, also narrated his life experience to motivate the students.
Remembering his days as a backbencher, Rathore said today, he was standing before the students of an elite institution. “If anyone pushes me down, I will always rise back higher, and this is my motto,” the minister said.
He recalled the time when he was removed from his team. But he worked hard and set a world record while competing for the Asian Championship in 2011.
