Uday Express, a double-decker train between KSR Bengaluru and Coimbatore, will start its services from the city on Saturday.
The train will connect the two cities for six days a week, except Monday.
Union Minister of State for Railways, Rajen Gohain, will flag off the inaugural special from Coimbatore at 10.30 am on Friday. The train will reach Bengaluru at 5.20 pm.
Regular services of the train will begin on Saturday from Bengaluru. The KSR Bengaluru- Coimbatore Uday Express (train no. 22665) will depart from Bengaluru at 2.15 pm and arrive at Coimbatore at 9 pm.
In the return direction, the regular services of the train (22666) will begin on Sunday.
In the directions, the train will stop at Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Kuppam and KR Puram. The trains will have a composition of 8 double-decker coaches, including three buffet coaches with 104 seating capacity and five coaches with 120 seating capacity.
