The South Western Railway is adding more coaches to 14 pairs of trains as a temporary measure to clear the extra rush ahead of Dasara.
A railways statement said that two sleeper coaches would be added to one pair of trains, one sleeper coach to two pairs of trains, two second-class coaches to five pairs of trains, and one second-class coach to six pairs of trains.
The coach augmentation will be in place for different trains at various points between October 17 and 28, the statement added.
