Speaking to reporters, Malleswaram MLA C N Ashwathnarayana said, the Hasiru Santhe will start from 6.30 am on Sunday, where saplings of trees, herbs and ornamental plants will be sold in the 15 stalls, which will be set up at the event.
Along with it, information will be given on rainwater harvesting and use of solar power in daily life.

“Our main objective is to spread awareness among the masses about the importance of ground water and the need for greenery to contain global warming,” the MLA said.
Joint Director of Horticulture Department A Narayana Swamy said the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike plans to hold such Hasiru Santhe in all the 28 Assembly constituencies of the City to promote greenery.
