Hathway Cable and Datacom Limited on Wednesday launched 50 Mpbs Docsis 3.0 ultra high speed broadband and 150 additional Standard Definition (SD) channels and four additional High Definition (HD) TV channels in City.
Along with it, Hathway also announced HD compatible set-top boxes to enhance its services for customers.
Briefing reporters, Hathway Limited Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Kumar said “we are the first company to launch a truly mass market high-speed 50 Mpbs broadband service in Bangalore.”
The services for 50 Mpbs starts with monthly price of Rs 733. It also launched a complete portfolio of 50 Mpbs plans to cater to residential and corporate customers.
“Our price is quite competent and similar to what other operators charge for low speed services of one or two Mpbs. The speed we are delivering on our Docsis 3.0 network are compatible with the speeds in the most advanced broadband markets like Korea and USA.”
He said a HD video file of 2 GB can be downloaded in just 5 to 10 minutes. By launching 150 additional SD and 4 HD TV Channels, Hathway’s total number of channels has gone up to 442 channels.
