A Division Bench comprising Justice Shirdhar Rao and Justice Jawad Ibrahim adjourned the appeal to August 11 in view of three other accused also filing separate appeals challenging the verdict and Special Public Prosecutor H S Chandramouli seeking time to file objections.
The court said they would take the appeals together.
It may be noted that on July 14, Shubha and the other three accused in the case, Arun Verma (her boyfriend), Venkatesh and Anand were sentenced to life imprisonment by the 17th Fast Track Court for conspiring to kill B V Girish, a software engineer to whom Shubha was engaged, seven years ago.
