Ellappa (65) had taken out loans from Uco Bank, Santekodihalli, and Vysya Bank, Bangalore.
He could not repay the loans and the financial institutions sent an attachment notice and published the auction sale of his house in the village, according to a complaint lodged by his wife Shanthamma.
