With a permanent acquisition of nearly 7.5 acres of land, the BMRCL will have in its possession approximately 20 acres at the time of construction.

“We have got permanent acquisition of seven-and-a-half-acres of land that is part of the Karnataka State Transport Corporation (KSRTC) depot. The rest of the land will be for temporary purpose for building the underground station,” said a spokesperson for BMRCL. As a measure of security, the BMRCL will be ensuring that no overhead structure will be built on the underground station.

Transport Minister, R Ashok on Friday, told presspersons that the land will be given to the BMRCL for construction of the metro station and the entire operations of the KSRTC will be shifted to other hubs.

“We will ensure that no inconvenience will be there for people. The services of the KSRTC will be shifted to other transport hubs like Shantinagar, etc for outstation services,” he said.
