Actor Katrina Kaif says she will be donning eco-friendly clothes for her upcoming film ‘Jagga Jasoos’.
“It is very simple, raw and organic. Almost all clothes were bought from ‘The Reformation’. It’s an environment-friendly store, it has recycled stuff. This is for Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’,” Katrina said during a panel discussion at the 18th edition of the MAMI film festival in Mumbai.
The ‘Namastey London’ actor says she normally has a designer but director Prakash Jha got her sari for ‘Rajneeti’. “I did Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’ and it was a scary moment for me. As the directors that I worked with till then, like Anees Bazmee and David Dhawan, did not give attention to costumes and I bought clothes for myself,” she said.
“For ‘Rajneeti’, Prakash Jha got a sari for me as he knew what he wanted in terms of the look of my character,” she added.
Katrina says she was involved in styling her look for her films when there was no direction. “But when we have someone looking for the job (fashion or styling), then I leave it to them,” she adds.
On the work front, Katrina has ‘Jagga Jasoos’ releasing next year opposite ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor and the sequel of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with Salman Khan.
