Mohammed Nalapad, son of Shanthinagar MLA N A Haris, on Wednesday moved the high court, seeking relaxation of his bail conditions that prevented him from leaving Bengaluru without the court's permission.
Justice John Michael Cunha was hearing a plea filed by Nalapad, who sought the court's permission to travel abroad for 15 days to meet his brother.
In June, the court had granted bail to Nalapad, who was arrested for assaulting Vidwath L, son of a businessman, at Farzi Cafe in UB City in February.
The court had granted him bail on the condition that Nalapad will not leave Bengaluru without the permission of the court. The court had also asked him to deposit a Rs 2 lakh bond with two sureties, besides imposing other riders.
The court adjourned the hearing to August 27.
