No drug proof yet against Kannada film producer Shankar Gowda: Police

Kannada film producer Shankar Gowda has been subjected to a medical test in a drugs case.

Gowda is suspected of having links with drug peddlers, including Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Mastan Chandra, who was allegedly associated with Nigerians selling contraband in Bengaluru.

On Monday night, police searched Gowda’s house and offices in Dollars Colony. While police didn’t find any drugs from Gowda’s house, they called him for questioning.

On Wednesday, police questioned two of his office staffers, Vicky Malhotra and Maheem, about many things, including events they organised. Police admit they haven’t yet found any evidence linking Gowda and two of his staffers to drug consumption or peddling.
