Launched by the Go Green Initiator (GGI), as part of its II year anniversary celebrations, ‘Go green, for a better tomorrow, go cycling’ saw the participation of people from varied age groups.
Participants started from the BRV Grounds and cycled through MG Road, Brigade Road, Lalbagh Fort Road, Town Hall, Hudson Circle and returned to BRV Grounds.
Shanta Kumar, a member of GGI said, “For the past two years I have been cycling 20 km per day. I want to do my bit towards conserving resources for the future generation."
Children also cycled with great enthusiasm. Adhip, an engineering student at PES College, said, “People might not recognise an individual riding a bicycle, but when hundreds of people cycle with a message, it does have an impact."
