Bengaluru: Police summoned a social media influencer over a "derogatory” review of Kannada action thriller Martin, which released on October 11. 

The film is directed by AP Arjun and stars Dhruva Sarja, popularly known as ‘Action Prince'. 

Sudhakar Gowda R, who has featured in various Kannada short films, criticised the film in a video review and shared it on social media, upsetting the actor's fans. They complained to the Madanayakanahalli police. 

A police officer from Madanayakanahalli said no FIR was filed in the case though the social media influencer was summoned and warned to refrain from uploading "derogatory" posts.
