A 22-year-old pregnant woman killed herself over domestic problems in Star Munisanjeevappa Layout in JP Nagar on Wednesday evening.
Dakshayini was married to Suresh, a painter and they had a two-year-old daughter. The couple hail from Kollegal.
On Wednesday around 5 pm, Suresh came home from work and found his wife dead. He informed his in-laws and his family members.
Family members said Dakshayini was not in cordial terms with her husband and in-laws. Suresh’s mother used to fight with Dakshayini, as she had given birth to a daughter, a senior police officer said. She had requested Suresh to talk to his mother, but in vain. She was dejected and committed suicide. We are waiting for Suresh to complete the final rites. He will then be taken into custody for questioning, the officer said.
A case has been registered.
