Metro stations in Bengaluru will soon have Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) attached to them.
The country's largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI) on Thursday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) for installing 63 ATMs in 36 metro stations.
The ATM kiosks will be accessible to both commuters and the general public.
The ATMs will be installed at all the 36 Metro stations in Bengaluru. Majority of the stations will have two to three ATM Kiosks, depending on the footfall and commuter traffic in those stations, SBI said in a statement.
S M Farooque Shahab, Chief General Manager, SBI, Bengaluru and Mahendra Jain, MD, BMRCL signed the agreement on Thursday.
Currently, the lender has 3,994 ATMs in the state.
